About this event
Each evening around sunset from spring through fall, up to 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats stream out from under the Congress Avenue Bridge — the largest urban bat colony in North America. Watch for free from the bridge or the Statesman Bat Observation Area on the southeast bank. Emergence varies nightly, roughly 7:30–9:45pm.
